Description

We are looking for a Manufacturing Laboratory Manager in Mayfield, Kentucky. The primary function of this role will be to oversee daily laboratory operations and ensure the delivery of high-quality products that are reproducible in manufacturing. This role will also provide strategic direction, technical expertise, and leadership within our laboratory department.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and direct analytical functions to provide quality support for production operations while ensuring compliance with protocols, safety regulations, and guidelines

• Ensure work is conducted accurately following established test methods and procedures

• Oversee the production of high-quality products that meet or exceed customer and company expectations and standards

• Train personnel to meet company and customer requirements, equipping team members with the necessary skills for success

• Use technical aptitude and advanced problem-solving skills to resolve issues by investigating circumstances, identifying solutions, and implementing corrective action plans

• Maintain knowledge of analytical and instrumental testing methods

• Maintain samples and records of analytical work in adherence to good documentation practices and manufacturing practices

• Develop and maintain good working relationships with appropriate outside testing laboratories

• Ensure timely and appropriate release of raw material lots, bulk formula batches, and finished goods lots

• Oversee laboratory record-keeping requirements, best practices, and good documentation practices.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Service Delivery Manager role or similar.

• Proficiency in 3M, ADP - Financial Services, and Avaya CMS.

• Experience with business systems and Confluence.

• Familiarity with About Time and budget processes.

• Strong communication skills.

• Knowledge of compliance and customer satisfaction strategies.

• Understanding of Current Good Manufacturing Practice Regulations (CGMP), CGLP, and GLPs.

• Background in the consumer goods industries.

• Experience with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, safety guidelines, safety management, and safety standards.

• Knowledge of test methodology and test methods.

• Proficiency in using Laboratory Equipment and managing laboratory information systems.

• Experience in managing laboratory technicians.

• Understanding of manufacturing processes, environments, equipment, and practices.

• Familiarity with the manufacturing industry and its principles.

• Knowledge of manufacturing operations and plants.
