Where the chemistry happens…

We are seeking a professional like you to join our Performance Chemical Division supporting our Anti Oxidants Operations team at the Mcintosh, Alabama site.

As an Operations Manager you will play a multi-faceted role in ensuring compliance, efficiency, and effectiveness within the Antioxidants Unit. You will coordinate production planning, oversee maintenance and technologies, manage capital investment, ensure health and safety compliance, drive quality assurance, support coaching and development, and facilitate communication with technical and engineering support teams.

As a Operations Manager, You Create Chemistry By...

  • Driving a safety culture of excellence capable of ensuring personnel safety and compliance and promoting world-class EH&S practices. Promoting safe and efficient processes to minimize waste and other environmental impacts by utilizing existing systems and resources, as well as providing new ones, to ensure compliance with environmental and safety requirements.

  • Having strong financial acumen to meet annual budgetary goals while managing the business and technical aspects of capital project improvements.

  • Managing business alignment with business partners for our antioxidants production by collaborating with regional and global supply chain organizations.

  • Defining, implementing, and monitoring business system and process improvements, ensuring proper utilization of resources within the unit to minimize operational costs, maximize support to the businesses, and achieve scheduled production.

  • Serving as a member of the Site Lead Team, managing Antioxidants Unit personnel, leading and directing the professional and technical development of unit staff personnel, and developing teamwork with subordinates, peers, and superiors both internal and external to McIntosh.

If you...

  • Have a Bachelor´s or Master´s dergree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering

  • Possess at least 10 years of diversified experience in chemical industry

  • Possess financial management skills and have experience with capital projects

  • Are an effective communicator, both verbal and written, and have the ability to engage with site and business group management at all levels of the organization

  • Have strong planning and organizational skills to meet agreed upon volumes, quality, and rates

  • Prior professional experience in a chemical production supervisory role is preferred

  • Have knolewdge and experience with PSM, RMP and RCRA is preferred

  • Possess strong team leadership and delegation skills
