We are seeking experienced fully-cleared Lead/Principal Systems Engineers to help provide expertise and support to our sponsor and their mission. We need staff who enjoy solving problems and who have skills in at least the following areas: intelligence systems engineering, data science, machine learning, data engineering, systems analysis and integration, enterprise architecture, independent evaluation and assessment, risk analysis, cyber technologies, program management, 5G technologies, satellite communications, wireless signal processing, oversight of software development and engineering efforts, and/or mission analysis.
Perform hands-on business and technical analysis and execute engineering studies to make recommendations for improvement across the full spectrum of sponsor technology and problem space.
Work in a dynamic environment addressing cutting-edge technology and domain challenges and be able to approach new problems where a solution does not already exist.
Lead small teams of subject matter experts (SMEs) to address specific tasks as necessary.
Apply and substantiate technical and domain judgment and make recommendations on Sponsor technology, concepts, processes, and products.
Good organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and oral communication with peers and with seniors. This is a sponsor facing position.
Strong interpersonal skills with Sponsor and with MITRE staff
Familiarity with general project management and acquisition concepts
Understanding of Sponsor environment, constraints, technical landscape, and strategic direction
Solid understanding of sponsor mission
Self-starter with initiative and vision BA/BS Degree (Masters Preferred) with 10 years of relevant experience
Ability to work with demanding customers
Broad knowledge of our sponsor and detailed knowledge of this organization
Familiarity with MITRE project management systems and concepts
Solid understanding of the technical domains within the Account
Broad technical knowledge in a relevant discipline
