SOL Engineering, LLC CAD Operator - Entry Level in Memphis, Tennessee

SOL Engineering Services, LLC is seeking an experienced CAD (Computer-Aided Design) Operator to serve as the primary source for computer-aided design. To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Familiarity with and understanding engineering concepts and terminology is important.

Responsibilities

  • Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare engineering drawings.

  • Knowledge of engineering practices and industry standards.

  • Collaborating with engineers and other professionals to produce drawings that meet their specifications.

  • Writing related technical documents such as material lists.

  • Ensuring that all drawings are accurate and meet industry standards.

  • Updating existing drawings as latest information becomes available.

  • Coordinate filing, storage, and retrieval of both manual and electronic drawings

  • Maintain, support, and operate associated plotters and printers.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to frequent project changes.

  • Ability to follow complex instructions and diagrams to create or modify high-quality drawings using company and government drafting standards.

  • Coordinate with engineers, designers, and technicians to incorporate concepts and information into drawing packages.

  • Must work effectively as part of a team or independently with minimal supervision.

  • Review completed construction drawings for accuracy and conformity to standards and regulations.

  • Perform a variety of duties not listed, to be determined and assigned as needed.

    Education Requirements

  • Must have a GED or be a High School Graduate with a certification in computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) or have an Associates degree in computer aided design and drafting (CADD) with 0-2 years of relevant experience is required.

  • Demonstrated proficiency and skill in using AutoCAD software.

  • PC application software and drafting/engineering practices and methods.

  • Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Office is preferred.
