As the Business Development Manager - Fluid Conveyance, you will play a key role in driving the growth and expansion of our hose manufacturing and fluid conveyance services, specifically focused on building a competitive operation to serve Tennessee, Arkansas & Mississippi. This position will involve identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, establishing a hydraulic hose fabrication shop, and strengthening relationships with both customers and vendor partners. Your leadership will be critical in shaping our fluid conveyance business and ensuring long-term success in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and oversee the production of a hose manufacturing service at the Memphis office.
Identify and target new Fluid Conveyance accounts to grow revenue within designated territories.
Conduct joint sales calls with local PMC Account Managers to expand Fluid Conveyance business at existing accounts.
Assist in establishing a hydraulic hose fabrication shop at the Flint Hydraulics facility in Memphis, TN.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and retention.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendor partners to enhance service and supply chain efficiency.
Develop and implement strategies to achieve regional fluid conveyance goals, including sales targets, customer service benchmarks, and operational efficiencies.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Bachelor's degree in industrial distribution, technical field, business administration, management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Certified Fluid Power Hydraulic Specialist a plus.
Other technical certifications or degrees may be considered.
Experience as described below may be accepted in lieu of education.
EXPERIENCE
Over five (5) years of experience in sales, operations, management, or technical fields.
Previous experience in hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, or automotive repair is strongly preferred.
Education as described above may be accepted in lieu of experience.
Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment is considered a plus.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
Good personal motivation.
Good, safe work habits.
An exceptional working knowledge of fluid conveyance with a focus in mobile hydraulic applications.
