Additionally, ensure correct prioritization and material planning of mechanical work to enable the plant to achieve its SHE, production, and financial objectives. What You Will Do...

• Promote a safe working environment by advising proper guidelines for the purchase, installation, and safe maintenance of mechanical equipment on the plant site. Ensure safety of personnel by evaluating all jobs daily for the need to perform a Job Safety Analysis prior to work. Assist the business in articulating the business MRO supply strategy.

• Lead all planning activities in MMA mechanical maintenance through coordination with Production Lead, Scheduler, E/I Planner and Maintenance Supervisor.

• Interpret and comply with Engineering standards and codes in the planning of mechanical maintenance activities.

• Planning activities include visually evaluating jobs in the field for scaffolding, insulation, and special needs.

• Drive reliability improvement efforts in all aspects of mechanical performance by tracking information related to labor, material utilization, asset life and other equipment reliability metrics in the CMMS.

• Write job plans and enter information into Maximo. Job plans shall include step by step instruction, labor utilization, and material required.

• Contribute positively to cost performance by highlighting potential cost reduction opportunities and purchasing alternatives in the mechanical area.

• Support job kitting efforts including obtaining proper materials with help from MRO coordinator.

• Attend scheduling and backlog meetings to plan the overall MMA maintenance work backlog and coordinate weekly reviews with the production organization.

• Manage and update the mechanical PM’s.

What You Will Have...

• High School diploma or equivalent

• This position requires a thorough knowledge of Site mechanical safety standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines. A thorough understanding of the processes and good mechanical work practices are needed as well.

• Must have an extensive mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and documented experience working in a similar situation.

• Position also requires knowledge of Maximo CMMS and ability to read prints (including welding schematics).

• Ability to interpret engineering standards and codes.

• The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $105,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
