Sharp Electronics Corporation Senior Cost Accountant in Memphis, Tennessee

Overview

Responsible to the Accounting Director for conducting complex assignments involving all cost, inventory, and fixed asset processes. The position requires a broad knowledge of practices and procedures and calls for originality and ingenuity in developing strategies, as well as high level attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all product costing within SAP, includes bi-annual costing in system.

  • Responsible for all inventory accounting and related controls. includes inventory valuation, physical inventory and cycle counting.

  • Responsible for all fixed asset management. Includes CIP, asset transfers, capitalization, and disposals.

  • Performs general ledger accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and internal controls.

  • Performs management and operational

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, and 4 years of experience or equivalent.

  • Proficient in MS Excel.

  • SAP knowledge is strongly preferred.

  • Manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Understanding of GAAP and SOX

Compensation for this position

The compensation range for this role is $54,484 - $102,157. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
