Robert Half Sr Quality Manager in Memphis, Tennessee

Description As a Senior Quality Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our products meet and exceed industry standards while driving continuous improvement initiatives. We are committed to delivering superior quality and reliability to our customers, and we're seeking a experienced detail oriented to lead our quality assurance efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership in all aspects of quality assurance activities within the organization.

Quality Management System Oversight: Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive quality management system (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

Process Improvement Initiatives: Lead continuous improvement efforts to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce defects, and enhance overall product quality.

Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain quality standards, conduct supplier audits, and resolve quality-related issues.

Customer Satisfaction Focus: Champion a customer-centric approach to quality, ensuring that customer feedback is incorporated into quality improvement initiatives.

Quality Metrics Tracking: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor and track quality performance, providing regular reports to senior management.

Root Cause Analysis: Lead root cause analysis investigations to identify the underlying causes of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to address them.

Quality Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities to quality team members and manufacturing personnel to enhance their understanding of quality principles and practices.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and supply chain, to drive quality improvements throughout the product lifecycle.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate quality risks that may impact product quality, reliability, or safety, implementing robust risk management processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.

8+ years of experience in quality management roles within the automotive or manufacturing industry.

In-depth knowledge of quality management principles, tools, and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, APQP, PPAP).

Strong understanding of automotive quality standards and requirements (e.g., ISO/TS 16949, IATF 16949).

Experience leading quality improvement projects and initiatives, with a track record of driving measurable results.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.

Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.

Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Six Sigma Black Belt, or similar detail oriented certifications.

Experience working with automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.

Familiarity with advanced quality tools and techniques, such as FMEA, SPC, and MSA.

Experience with quality management software systems (e.g., QMS, EQMS).
