Software Engineering Intern - Onsite Position Overview:We are seeking an enthusiastic IT Intern with a keen interest in software development and regression testing to join our team. This role is designed for an individual looking to gain hands-on experience in developing and testing applications within cloud-based environments like Salesforce. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver, eager to learn, and interested in the intricacies of software development lifecycle and quality assurance processes. This will be a full time 4 month assignment; start date dependent on availability. You must live in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN area to be considered. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the development of new features and applications within cloud-based platforms, focusing on user needs and business requirements. Participate in the planning and execution of regression testing for existing software applications to ensure new updates or integrations do not adversely affect functionality. Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of Salesforce and other cloud-based systems, including troubleshooting and resolving issues. Contribute to the development of automated regression testing routines / code. Collaborate with the software development and testing teams to understand project specifications and objectives. Help document software development processes, test cases, and outcomes for reference and compliance purposes. Engage in continuous learning activities to stay updated on the latest cloud technologies, software development practices, and testing methodologies. Qualifications: Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Basic understanding of software development principles and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum). Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, preferably Salesforce. Introductory knowledge of programming languages such as Java, C/C++, Python, or JavaScript is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a positive, can-do attitude. Ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly.
