ManpowerGroup CNC Lathe Lead in Mequon, Wisconsin

Our client is seeking a CNC Lathe Lead to join their team. As a CNC Lathe Lead, you will be part of the Production Department supporting the CNC Machining Team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and proficiency in problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: CNC Lathe Lead

Location: Saukville, WI

Pay Range: $30/hour

What’s the Job?

  1. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings, including an understanding of GD&T.

  2. Utilize cutting tools, tool holders, live tooling, and work holding devices.

  3. Setup and, on an as-needed basis, operate CNC Lathe machines.

  4. Ensure an adequate workforce, ensuring all employees are properly trained to meet or exceed customer needs.

  5. Collaborate with the Quality Department on first piece inspection and ongoing production runs.

What’s Needed?

  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in operating and setting up CNC Lathe machines.

  2. Familiarity with Fanuc controls (or similar) and robotics experience preferred (Halter and UR robots) or similar robotics.

  3. Ability to select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as lathes (Tsugami M08, Yama-Seiki, Nakamura, and Takisawa lathes) or similar CNC Lathes.

  4. Experience within a Lean Manufacturing Work Environment is preferred.

  5. Proficiency in using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Understanding of G-code programming and CAD/CAM software. Must be efficient in Mastercam or Fusion 360.
