Job Description

The AbbVie Business Technology Solutions (BTS) team shapes the digital transformation necessary for our treatments to positively impact patients’ lives.

The Product Manager plays a crucial role in the digital product lifecycle leading the development and management of digital technology programs supporting AbbVie’s US commercial Therapeutic business areas of Immunology, Oncology, Neuroscience, Eye care, Specialty etc. This role entails having both a strategic as well as tactical mindset with a deep understanding of all aspects of the Digital Product lifecycle for the respective business areas while managing the product business requirements from concept to production launch.

In this role you’ll be responsible for:

• Overseeing a range of technology products from ideation to operation, including securing cross-functional alignment on project scope, benefits, cost, and timeline

• Project Intake, scope clarity, epic and story grooming, generating cost and timeline estimates adhering to defined SLAs, Backlog Management and Release Planning

• Attending daily “standup” style meetings to review project status and ensure the team remains on track

• Collaborating with a matrix team of Product Owners, Analysts, Scrum Masters, Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, Testers to deliver technology products to the business.

• Managing work to the timeline and collaborate with our Web Specialists from Digital Lab, Compliance Teams, and Marketing Business Partners to clarify requirements and ensure the work is reflective of the needs of the stakeholders

• Serving as the single point of contact for assigned initiatives

• Making sure that as BTS we are consistent in applying our core capabilities to deliver technology solutions with speed, agility, and efficiency

• Identifying re-use opportunities and suggest MVP solutions

• Working with minimal oversight; SLAs are met, projects are delivered on time, delays are proactively communicated to avoid escalation

Qualifications

Experiences that make you a strong candidate for this role:

Required

• Bachelor's Degree with 8 years experience; Master's Degree with 7 years experience; PhD with 3 years experience.

• Experience developing, managing development of technology applications.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build trust, listen, and ask effective questions with the goal of creating a scalable and reusable business solution along with effective partnerships.

• Innovative thinking and the ability to leverage past business technology experience to be successful in an entrepreneurial fast paced environment.

• Strong IT Management, Analysis, and digital skills.

• Ability to self-manage time and priorities.

• Thrive in a fast-paced environment with the drive to take on new challenges.

• Strong IT analysis and communication skills.

Beneficial

• 5+ years of technology experience in a digital marketing organization with websites and their capabilities.

• Experience with leading and managing Agile projects in a digital ecosystem.

• Hands on experience with JIRA and Smartsheet.

• Work experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
