Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a background in nonprofit financial operations, with proficiency in handling accounts payable duties efficiently and accurately. Experience with Blackbaud software is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.

• Verify and reconcile invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.

• Ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures for payment processing.

• Communicate effectively with vendors regarding invoice inquiries and payment status.

• Assist with month-end close processes related to accounts payable.

• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of financial transactions.

• Collaborate with the finance team to streamline AP processes and improve efficiency.

• Provide support for other finance-related tasks and projects as needed.

  Requirements

• Proven experience working in accounts payable, preferably in a nonprofit setting.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

• Proficiency in using accounting software, with experience in Blackbaud software considered a plus.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling financial information.
