ChenMed Procurement Specialist in Miami, Florida

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for verifying, preparing, and forwarding purchase orders; verifies receipt of items; authorizes payment. This position will also schedule delivery of products to the corresponding COE and/or parties requesting products.

In alignment with our Finance vision, this position will support the transformation of care for the neediest populations by being committed to business focused self-development, through the generation and use of information to support business leadership in driving great decisions, optimizing performance and ensuring accountability through transparency, actionable insights and education.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Verifies purchases requisitions by comparing items to established masterlist,clarifying unclear items and recommending alternatives

  • Prepares and process purchase orders by verifying specification and price; obtaining recommendation from suppliers for substitute items; obtaining approval from leader for substitute orders

  • Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipment in error with suppliers

  • ProvidesWorkday business process support

  • Resolvesissues with suppliers of goods and services.

  • Solicitsquotes from selected vendors

  • Oversees, reviewsand finalizesoffice supply orders

  • Maintains accurate and retrievable records.

  • Preparesand processespurchase orders

  • Coordinatesdelivery of product

  • Performs other duties as assigned and modified at manager’s discretion.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to self-organize efficientlyand work well independently

  • Proven administration& multitasking abilities

  • Maintain a professional appearanceand demeanor

  • Ability to communicate effectively

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and database software

  • Ability and willingness to travel locally, regionally, and nationwide up to10% of the time

  • Spoken and written fluency in English

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:

  • High School Diploma

  • Associate Degreepreferred

  • No prior experience required

  • Purchasingand/or budgetexperiencepreferred
