Responsibilities The Business Intelligence Analyst provides user direction, analyzes data, and develops Business Intelligence content for one or more functional units within Garnet Health in accordance with enterprise data governance processes. The Business Intelligence Analyst also develops dashboards, dashboard components, metrics, and data pipelines. Responsibilities include analyzing and synthesizing information, and creating reports, presentations, and other materials. The Business Intelligence Analyst creates reports and dashboards with tools such as Epic Slicer Dicer, Epic Workbench, Crystal Reports, Microsoft Reporting Services, and Power BI, and creates ad hoc SQL queries. Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. When determining a team member’s compensation and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity) Qualifications Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, or related field. Minimum Experience: Preferred but not required: (will train the right candidate) Epic Cogito Certification: Level 1: Less than 2 years of business intelligence experience, no Epic certification. Level 2: 2 years of business intelligence experience, with or without Epic certification. Level 3: 5 or more years of business intelligence experience, with or without Epic certification. Level 4: More than 5 years of combined experience with lead/supervisor responsibilities and Epic certified. Experience analyzing data and creating reports. Experience writing SQL queries. Experience creating reports with tools such as Epic Slicer Dicer, Epic Workbench, Crystal Reports, Microsoft Reporting Services, and Power BI. Ability to work with a computer terminal for extended periods of time. Ability to handle multiple projects. Ability to handle stressful situations. Ability to work independently with little supervision.
