Amazon Optimization Manager, Last Mile Rentals Expansion in Milan, MichiganItaly

Description

Amazon Logistics is seeking an Optimization Manager to work in the EU Fleet Procurement and Capacity (FPAC) organization.

An Optimization Manager will innovate by finding new ways to manage Amazon Logistics fleet. They will scale new programs quickly and with high quality, to drive continuous value to our Delivery Service Provider (DSP) partners.

This role is for in the Last Mile Rentals Expansion team. Last Mile Rentals is a vehicle sharing program, where Amazons delivery partners can book and use vehicles from a shared pool.

The position can be located in London, Luxembourg, Munich, Berlin, Paris, Madrid or Milan.

Key job responsibilities

  • Create innovative solutions using data and research to address wider challenges in your organisation

  • Take a big-picture approach in your analysis of business operations, driving improvements across a range of teams and organisations

  • Work alongside senior leadership to establish and prioritise improvement programmes, seeing them through from start to finish

  • Enhance operational performance on every programme in partnership with your stakeholders

A day in the life

The Last Mile Rentals (LMR) expansion team work with external suppliers to bring to fleet sharing programs to Amazon Logistics. The role is at the forefront of enabling a more flexible fleet.

Basic Qualifications

  • A degree

  • Relevant experience communicating with and influencing a range of different stakeholders including senior management

  • Relevant experience in managing large-scale programmes or projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced or master's degree

  • Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Prince2 certifications, or any other project management certification

  • Relevant experience working in a supply chain, logistics, operations or vehicle sharing environment

  • Experience in conceptualising and implementing operational or supply-chain management improvements
