JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Overview This position is responsible for providing provide individual counseling, academic advising, personal development and enrichment activities to income eligible, first generation, and/or underrepresented students. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Monitor individual Academic Progress of assigned ETS students 2. Assists with application screening and selection process for applicants and incoming students. 3. Assists in monitoring progress towards achievement of objectives, managing and documenting service directly. 4. Assist with college planning (selection, application, writing letters of recommendation, etc.). 5. Follow up with students who encounter problems that affect retention or performance. Requires two or more years of experience in counseling and direct service delivery to income eligible, first-generation, disabled, and/or underrepresented students, or with community groups that address issues affecting income eligible and minority student populations. Ability to work independently and to prioritize and execute multiple tasks consistent with assigned timeline; Able to work in a team environment; Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to deal with diverse constituencies; Strong computer competency, to include proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Access), and web-based and social media applications; Demonstrated attention to detail, professional attitude, and ability to maintain confidentiality; Expressed commitment to and support of Project objectives.
