SAINT KATE - THE ARTS HOTEL Executive Chef Saint Kate The Arts in MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description Marcus Hotels & Resorts, a leading national hotel management company based in Milwaukee, Wis., is looking for an Executive Chef to contribute their creative vision to Saint Kate-The Arts Hotel. . The right candidate will be excited to use innovative new ideas to drive financials, while accepting the challenge of managing food cost and staffing levels. As Milwaukee\'s Arts Hotel, Saint Kate is an independent hotel and social venue focused on celebrating the arts and the creative process. The Executive Chef will lead the full culinary team consisting of the Executive Chef-Aria and approximately 3-5 additional restaurant and hotel chefs as well as approximately 30 hourly culinary, stewarding and storeroom associates. This integral part of Saint Kate\'s leadership team will work closely with our Director of Food and Beverage in order to offer surprising options to our guests. The Executive Chef will serve on the Executive Committee and report directly to the Hotel General Manager. This role will oversee culinary operations for the following areas: - Offering events as small as private team meetings and as large as weddings and galas in our 11,600 square feet of meeting space. - Elevated dining restaurant featuring refined heartland cuisine -Lobby bar featuring nightly live music. Recently voted Milwaukee\'s best bar to be seen in and best hotel lounge by Shepherd Express - Offering creative libations in an inviting setting - Fast-casual pizza joint that offers Neapolitan pizza, sandwiches, snacks, and salads. - Opulent private dining experiences and tasting menus Other areas include In-Room-Dining and unique guest amenities What will you be doing? Create menus for outlets, banquets, and special events based on current food trends, regional tastes, and seasonal price fluctuations. Represent Saint Kate in the community and in public media when opportunities arise. Monitor staff performance, product quality, labor costs, and revenue flow; foster improvement where necessary. Manage all steps of the employee lifecycle; interview, hire, train, coach, and discipline when appropriate. Participate in annual budget and monthly forecasts. Monitor & support culinary operations during peak periods What will you bring? Preferably, at least 3 years formal culinary schooling. Previous Culinary management experience of 3 years or more Experience in managing multiple culinary operations. Strong financial knowledge and skills to accurately forecast revenue, expenses, and profit. Strong communication and leadership skills, creativity, and the ability to mentor high-potential talent. Dependability and reliability to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation, flexibility to work varied schedules including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and ability to work under pressure.
