Responsibilities

• Train and assist employees on the basis of job-knowledge and productivity

• Maintain a clean well organized and professional shop atmosphere including job assignments,

personnel problems, and schedules

• Responsible for the preparation of domestic and foreign shipments in accordance with shipping requirements and specifications

• Check shipments for correct materials, packing and crating, tagging and handling instructions, loading and/or bracing

• Prepare bills of lading and other required forms

• Route local shipments and communicate with carriers

• Prepare small orders for freight, express or parcel shipments in accordance with shipping practices and requirements

• Assemble and check orders, do packing and crating

• Receive all incoming materials, supplies, equipment and returned goods, check received goods against purchase orders or receiving papers

• Check quantity and part numbers against PO to properly identify materials

• Route or deliver materials to storage or manufacturing locations

• Operate forklift and assist with loading and unloading trucks

• Maintain inventory accuracy in MAIN warehouse

• Do daily cycle counts

• Provide materials for production as requested

• Maintain knowledge of Export regulations and prepare international paperwork

• Make local deliveries using company cargo van

• Be able to do all job functions of the Shipping/Receiving Coordinator

The essential functions of this role include:
