Description

We are seeking a Staff Accountant based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As a key part of the accounting team, you will be instrumental in organizing and processing financial transactions, maintaining financial systems, and preparing month-end reports.

Responsibilities:

• Month end reporting and financial statement preparation

• Assist in tracking financial balance information for various accounts.

• Compile monthly reporting requirements for various clients within the regional portfolio.

• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.

• Maintain the general ledger and perform monthly close processes.

• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.

• Prepare adjusting journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.

• Contribute to financial reporting processes to assist in business decision making.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar

• Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations

• Proficient in General Ledger management

• Experience in Journal Entries is required

• Proficiency in Month End Close procedures

• Ability to make Adjusting Journal Entries

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience in Financial Reporting is required

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field is preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards
