Responsibilities The main, ongoing responsibilities will be: 1) 3T/7T/10.5T fMRI data collection, data analysis, development of software tools, and preparation of manuscripts. 2) Maintaining the human subjects IRB protocol for the proposed work 3) To become a PI of a grant/sponsored project, while developing an independent line of research. 4) To collaborate with other PIs/researchers at the CMRR The minor responsibilities will be: 1) Be a resource for other investigators at the CMRR for the purposes of analyzing fMRI data. Qualifications All required qualifications must be documented on application materials. Required Qualifications: * Applicants are required to have a Ph.D. in psychology, cognitive neuroscience or a related field - with 4 or more years of experience as a post-doctoral fellow or higher level academic position. * The candidate must have prior experience with functional MRI data collection and analyses, with specific emphasis on computational modeling and multivariate pattern analysis. * MRI scanning skills, including determining participant safety for MRI scanning * Experience working with high field (7 Tesla or above) functional MRI and its applications to mesoscopic scale fMRI at the level of cortical columns and/or layers. * Experience with fast TR fMRI data * Proficiency in MATLAB, or an equivalent programming language. * Applicants should be proficient with BrainVoyager and at least one (ideally two) of the following software: Freesurfer, FSL and AFNI. * Must have excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills. * Must have experience with IRB applications/submissions * Must be independent and collaborative, self-motivated, mature, and professional. * Must not have metal implants or be dependent upon devices that are incompatible with magnetic fields. * Ability to take initiative to solve problems as they arise.
