The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis is looking for an administrative professional to fill an Administrative Specialist/Copyeditor position in its Support Services team within the Supervision, Regulation, and Credit (SRC) Division. SRC’s function is to supervise state member banks and bank-holding companies within the Federal Reserve System's Ninth District.  

In this role, you will be part of a team that provides administrative support to various business lines within the Division. Tasks will primarily include copyediting and formatting reports, letters, newsletters, and general correspondence materials for grammar, clarity, and consistency. Other tasks will include electronic document loading, data entry, and other administrative tasks to support the work of the Division. In addition to day-to-day responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to participate in group projects, team and Division initiatives, and process improvements. This is a 50% Copyeditor – 50% Admin Support role.

Responsibilities:

  • Copyedit a steady flow of examination reports and supervisory letters, ensuring high quality and adherence to Federal Reserve Board guidance.

  • Serve as an editorial resource for multiple business lines in the Division, including editing articles and various other materials and assisting with writing or rewriting, as needed.

  • Ensure adherence to copyediting and style guidelines; recommend changes to our style guide as needed.

  • Review and fact-check content for accuracy and errors.

  • Format letters, examination reports, and other documents.

  • Compile, edit, and distribute weekly Division newsletter.

  • Provide administrative support, which may include scheduling, meeting planning, data entry, scanning/imaging, meeting notetaking, preparing documents, and filing. 

  • Respond to inquiries for information, gather and record data, prepare routine and custom reports, and compose correspondence and emails.

  • Review processes and procedures for improvements and/or enhancements. 

  • For advanced levels, provide training to new and less-experienced employees. 

  • Participate in Division, Bank, or Federal Reserve System project teams and work groups. 

  • Perform other duties or responsibilities as needed or assigned. 

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Administrative Specialist I level you must meet the following qualifications:

  • High School diploma AND one (1) to three (3) years of progressive and directly related work experience. OR

  • Associate degree AND six (6) moths of progressive and directly related work experience. OR

  • Bachelor's degree

To be considered for the Administrative Specialist II level you must meet the following qualifications:

  • High School diploma AND three (3) years of progressive and directly related work experience. OR

  • Associate degree AND one (1) year of progressive and directly related work experience. OR

  • Bachelor's degree AND six (6) months or more of progressive and directly related work experience.

In addition to the above qualifications, the following are desired at either level:

  • Demonstrated mastery of grammar, punctation, and spelling.

  • Strong writing, copyediting, and proofreading skills.

  • Skill in querying and communicating proposed revisions to writers in a constructive manner.

  • Proficient using a variety of software applications, including skill with Track Changes and Microsoft Office.  

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.  

  • High level of attention to detail; ability to consistently produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, manage multiple tasks and deadlines from multiple business lines, and adapt to shifting priorities.

  • Work-related experience in business operations or financial environment preferred.

Additional Information:

Administrative Specialist Level I: $39,100 - $48,842 - $58,600 Annually

Administrative Specialist II: $43,900 - $54,915 - $65,900 Annually

Salary offer will be based on the location, qualifications/experience of the candidate, alignment with market data, the needs of the position, our total compensation package, and internal equity.
