Position Summary The Director, Talent Management Americas is a senior-level position accountable for leading talent management throughout the Americas including talent and leadership development, performance management, organizational development, organizational culture, employee listening and engagement, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, social sustainability, and all talent management processes. The experienced leader will also lead a new state-of-the-art training and conference center for the Americas. The leader serves as a subject matter expert and consultant to the executives and leaders of SICK's companies throughout the Americas providing expertise and guidance on all talent management topics. This position works closely with: President of People and Legal North America, VP of Talent Management Global, Directors of People North America and Latin America, Director of Sales Excellence North America. Primary Responsibilities Supervisory Responsibilities: Lead, coach, develop and mentor regional and local Talent Management professionals and training center team members, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities. Conduct regular performance evaluations, set clear objectives, and provide constructive feedback to team members. Ensure appropriate allocation of resources within the team to meet organizational goals and project deadlines. Participate in the recruitment and selection process for new team members, ensuring the team is staffed with high-performing individuals. Address and resolve any conflicts or issues within the team promptly and effectively. Consult with global, regional, and local executives and leaders to develop, implement, and optimize, global, regional, and local talent management strategy and processes in the areas of: Training and Development Performance Management Talent Identification Organizational Development Company Culture Employee Listening and Engagement Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Social Sustainability to meet global, regional, and local business objectives and in alignment with SICK's global talent management strategy and processes. Lead the design, development, implementation, and management of a new state-of-the-art training and conference center within SICK's new North America campus serving the training and development needs of employees, customers, prospects, and the community. Support the implementation of global, regional, and local company strategy. Lead and participate in global, regional, and local projects and initiatives. Collaborate with SICK colleagues globally to drive business mission and objectives. Develop and manage Talent Management and training center budget and planning activities to ensure effective use of company resources. Design, develop and facilitate meetings, workshops, and conferences. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by participating in professional associations, attending educational workshops and conferences; reviewing professional publications and blogs; and establishing professional networks. Perform other duties as may be assigned or required by management. Qualifications Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience leading human resources, organizational development, training and development, or talent management. Education: Four-year degree in Human Res urces, Organizational Development, or related field. Advanced degree preferred. Certifications: SHRM-SCP is preferred. Position-specific Qualifications: Proven track record of leading major projects and organizational change. Proven track record of effectively working across cultures. Strong leadership, coaching, and executive decision-making skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong planning and time management skills. Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems and learning management systems. Computer/Technological: Professional competence with Microsoft Office, previous CRM usage, SAP, ADP. Language: Professional written and spoken fluency in English required. Schedule: Generally Monday to Friday, full time; be on-call on some weekends (if required). General Working Conditions: Be able to usually work in an office environment; flexible (hybrid) work arrangements available. Travel: Be able to travel domestically up to 10% of the time and internationally up to 5%; must have a valid passport. Work Status: Legally permitted to work in the United States.
