position summary Merjent, Inc. (Merjent) is seeking a skilled and highly motivated Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team of professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering principles and practices, with a specific focus on the design, analysis, and implementation of transmission and distribution projects. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and a commitment to safety and quality standards. The successful candidate will assist in producing a variety of engineering tasks to help our clients projects succeed by pro-actively navigating and effectively managing issues and challenges that arise. Flexible/hybrid work arrangements are available, as Merjent promotes this for self-sufficient professionals who can work and/or learn successfully in a remote work environment. The anticipated salary for this position is between $117,500 and $152,500, depending on qualifications and experience. responsibilities The Electrical Engineer in transmission and distribution design is responsible for the following: Design and analyze transmission and distribution systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements. Develop and execute project plans for linear projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. Conduct electrical system simulations and modeling to optimize performance and reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution, from initial planning through to commissioning. Prepare and review technical documents, including design specifications, drawings, and reports. Monitor project progress, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. Stay abreast of technological advancements and regulatory changes in the power and electric sector. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards throughout all phases of project development and execution.
