PrimeFlight Aviation Services ACAP Dispatcher in Mississauga, Ontario

Description

As a valued member of the PrimeFlight Toronto Pearson Airport team, you will provide prompt and efficient service to our airline clients by performing the following duties/requirements:

  • Take calls from airlines requesting employee coverage

  • Schedule which agent will assist passengers based on knowledge of shifts or Managers assignments

  • Maintain logs such as shift report, Aircraft Security Searches paperwork, Telephone Logs with the Tower and other forms as required

  • Demonstrate regular, predictable attendance at job location

  • Exceed PrimeFlight customer service standards

  • Ensure a safe work environment by following rules and regulations regarding the workplace.

  • Assist in lifting passengers requiring assistance in and out of carts, wheelchairs and/or aircraft passenger seats.

  • Transport passengers in wheelchairs or electric carts to/from or within the concourses.

  • Assist the customer in claiming checked luggage before assisting the passenger in a wheelchair to the curb.

  • Responsible for escorting unaccompanied minors to/from flights and/or to meet the receiving adult and verifying identification and completing appropriate paperwork.

  • Assist passenger with any problems, questions, or concerns

  • Maintain professional working relationships with fellow employees, supervisors, managers, airline employees, and airport authorities

  • Have computer, tablet or smart phone ability

  • Must be able to work various shifts and days of the week. Airlines are 24/7, so we require our team to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays

  • Must possess reliable transportation to work

  • Must attend every day of pre-employment training. All prospective agents must pass training to continue on with employment

  • Must be able to pass a background check, and able to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)

  • Carry out other duties as assigned

· Man power

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively in English. Ability to write accurate reports.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Computer Skills:

Intermediate proficiency in internet based programs and computer software, IE: Word and Outlook.

Certificates and Licenses:

No certifications needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job may require supervision of workers at the direction of the Station Management.

  • Continuously sit at a computer for 6-8 hours

  • Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms generated by terminal environment

  • Be able to push a wheelchair (including inclines and declines) with adult weighing up to 150 pounds when necessary.

  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
