DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: The PD Operation Lead at PPG's Monroeville Research & Development will lead the production crew in OLED Process Development labs maintaining strict conformance to established standards set forth by Management. You will manage technicians to support manufacturing OLED Development batches ensuring a safe operation and quality standards that ensuring on-time and in-full delivery of products to our client. You will also maintain PD lab cleanliness, and coordinating with Other Team Leads and personnel from other departments regarding operational issues.

Key Responsibilities * Assure conformance to company safety policies by setting an example and training others. * Demonstrate knowledge in all PD production labs and equipment. * Coordinate equipment repairs with Facilities personnel or third-party service companies. * Help with SOP writing for new equipment/systems and improvements to existing ones. * Supervise other technicians, including performance evaluation, compensation, and disciplinary actions. * Adjust priorities in anticipation of potential problems. * Prepare for upcoming projects and processes, overseeing equipment changeovers. * Plan/conducts/reports/presents technical activities to achieve high efficiency and productivity. * Resolve conflict with other team members. * Communicating with OLED team leads to keep them informed on production activities. * The PD Operation Lead may assist in technical transfer of processes from PD labs to the plants.

Qualifications * A record of contributions and 6+ years of experience or applicable degree and 4+ years of experience. * Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures within a chemical plant environment. * Demonstrate a knowledge of scientific principles. * Explain and teach complex interactions. * Flexible to work Monday-Friday or Tuesday (or Wednesday) - Saturday (or Sunday).
