We are hiring a Production Operators for Casting and Machining! You must operate equipment safely and evaluate parts according to quality specifications. You will visually inspect parts prior to processing through the machines.

What You'll Do:

  • Monitor equipment in your area of responsibility for adverse conditions and advise supervision of these conditions
  • Visually inspect parts for defects
  • Load lines
  • Remove excess flash
  • Required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties upon request of the supervisor
  • Complies with the following OSHA Safety Standards: Hazard Communication; Bloodborne Pathogens; Lockout; Permit Required Confined Space; Hot Work Permit; P.P.E. and Ergonomics
  • When necessary, participate in classes and training seminars to learn new technologies and techniques deemed helpful to performance on the job

Requirements

What We Need from You:

  • Familiarity with quality control gauges
  • Understanding of machine set up sheets and process control plans
  • Ability to deburr machined parts using handheld deburring and power deburring tools, and to wash machined parts using automatic washing or manual washing equipment
  • Understanding of the use of handheld gauges and ability to use basic gauging and measuring equipment
  • Identify defects and inspect parts using process control plans
  • Ability to start and operate all secondary equipment from power off to cycle start
  • Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects up to 55 pounds regularly
  • Ability to read, write, perform basic math calculations, and complete visual inspections
