Description We are seeking a Fund Accountant for our non-profit organization based in Montebello, California. The role will involve overseeing financial transactions, managing budgeting processes, and ensuring regulatory compliance using MIP software. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and validate all financial transactions within MIP software

• Review, prepare and analyze financial statements

• Develop and manage the organization's annual budget using MIP for accurate tracking and reporting

• Coordinate with external auditors during the audit process, ensuring all MIP data is accurate and current

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, standards, and laws using MIP software

• Assist in financial planning activities including forecasting and risk management

• Manage the processing of payroll and benefits through MIP, ensuring all staff are paid accurately and in a timely manner

• Implement internal financial procedures and controls using MIP to ensure data accuracy throughout the organization

• Provide financial advice to the organization's executives using financial analysis from MIP. Requirements • Proficiency in Abila MIP and other Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services and Banner Ads

• Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal

• Demonstrated expertise in accounting functions and auditing

• Knowledge of budget processes and capital management

• Experience with cash activity handling

• Ability to work in a non-profit industry setting

• Experience in fund accounting is highly desirable

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
