Montrose Memorial Hospital Radiology Technologist Interventional Radiology Full-Time Days in Montrose, Colorado

Sign on/retention bonus - $15,000! (with at least one year of experience)

Position Overview:

Assists Radiologists with all interventional radiology procedures. Operates the interventional radiology Lab Xray system and Siemens Hemodynamic system. Knowledge of the interventional radiology lab supplies and usage. Knowledge of interventional radiology procedure supplies and Exams to be performed with the highest technical quality and efficiency while providing compassionate care and ensuring patient safety.

Essential Functions :

a) Knowledge of human anatomy/physiology, arterial/venous anatomy/physiology.

b) Demonstrate knowledge of appropriate response to changes in patient condition

c) Stock and prepare the Interventional Lab suite for each procedure to ensure that all necessary supplies and equipment are readily available and in optimal working condition.

d) Consult with physicians and nursing personnel and review patient charts regarding history and procedure to provide a clinical history.

e) Perform strict sterile techniques in all procedures in accordance with current policies and procedures.

f) All technical duties and responsibilities during each procedure to provide a timely well-organized exam

g) Maintain in-depth knowledge of complex diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular equipment/supplies and be capable of assisting with their use.

h) Responsible for imaging and imaging documentation for proper records retention and billing.

i) Responsible for sharing workload, working extended shifts, taking after hours call to include weekends and holidays, responds to pager within (5) minutes and reports for duty within (30) minutes of notification.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Physical Demands: Ability to lift twenty (20) pounds. Moving, lifting or transferring of patients may involve lifting of up to fifty (50) pounds, as well as assist with weights of more than one-hundred (100) pounds. Ability to stand for extended periods. Fine motor skills. Visual acuity.

Qualifications & Skills:

a) ARRT registered or CVT.

b) BLS upon hire. ACLS certified within six months of hire.

c) One year experience required.

d) Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
