Vitalant Part-Time Hospital Delivery Technician in Montvale, New Jersey

Description

Vitalant is currently seeking a Part-Time Hospital Delivery Technician to help our dedicated team provide blood to patients in Montvale, NJ. Our Hospital Delivery Technicians are the face of Vitalant when they are interacting with our vendors and assisting blood drives.

As a member of our courier team, you'll use your communication and customer service skills to build relationships with hospitals and vendor staff as you deliver and transport blood and blood products, as well as play an active part in the setup and takedown of blood drives. A successful Hospital Delivery Technician will also use exceptional problem-solving skills to be able to manage weather-related driving issues as they arise. What to Expect

3 days/week - Dayshift 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM Sundays other two days are negotiable

Pay:

$17.29 - 0-1 year related experience

$17.87 - 1-3 years related experience

$18.25 - 3-5 years related experience

We're looking for someone who can:
Professionally and safely deliver blood product orders to Vitalant hospital customers using a company vehicle.
Meet required delivery and pick-up timeframes to ensure logistics parameters and customer expectations.
Prepare shipping and packing materials and supplies needed to maintain operations.
Provide exceptional attention to detail.
Work as part of a team and independently to achieve daily goals.
Maintains accurate records of transactions and processes associated fees. Must be comfortable with mobile device/technology.
Good communication and customer relations skills in order to deal effectively with customers and staff. Demonstrated excellent verbal skills.


Requirements

High School diploma or GED required
Valid in-state driver's license ( no major moving violations for the last 3 years)
Pass a motor vehicle report check
Six months of customer service experience required
Professional driving experience preferred (box and full-sized van)
Ability to read and write in English is required
Able to lift 40lbs
