Buyer, Corporate Maintenance & IndirectOPEX Corporation is currently looking for a full-time buyer to work in our Moorestown, NJ office. The Corporate Maintenance & Indirect Buyer will manage the planning and procurement of goods and services for multiple locations of this global technology leader in warehouse automation, high-speed mailroom automation, document imaging, and material handling. Job DescriptionAs part of the Corporate Purchasing Team this position will be embedded with our maintenance/management teams to assist with the planning, coordination, scheduling, purchasing and management of materials and services for our growing operation. This will include monitoring, maintaining, renovating and expansion requirements for existing and new locations. Sourcing, planning, negotiating, and placing purchase orders for materials, equipment, and services in support of multiple locations in Moorestown NJAnalyze supplier proposals and differentiate quotations based on proposed solution, commercial/legal terms and overall valueCreate measurement metrics and manage supplier performance to cost, delivery, and quality of corporate requirementsPro-actively maintain communication with internal teams and suppliers on delivery schedule and status of goods/services procuredSource and negotiate with qualified suppliers via competitive bidding process and contract review to obtain maximum value benefitInterface with internal customers and suppliers to ensure materials/services are delivered in accordance with all scheduling, specifications, and quality requirementsMonitor purchasing activities to be in compliance with OPEX business needs, including costs, incoming quality, supplier on time delivery and corporate policyJob RequirementsMust be well-versed at analyzing and negotiating business terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure minimum risk and maximum valueStrong background working with multiple locations and management teamsWorking knowledge of maintenance, construction and contracting servicesExcellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and organizational skillsPrefer minimum 3 years’ experience and results supporting corporate maintenance, contract development and review, sourcing and procurement of materials and servicesBachelor’s Degree in a business related field or equivalent work experience preferredPhysical/Work EnvironmentsEmployee will primarily be working in an office environment with occasional travel to various office and warehouse locationsSitting and standing for an extended period of timeSome walking and/or driving between local facilities; occasional air travel may be requiredABOUT USCompany OverviewOPEX Corporation is more than a manufacturer of machines.
