THE WORK

Strategic Leadership

As a Senior Manager at Lockheed Martin, you will lead our organization's strategic vision, molding workforce composition, modern engineering practices, and product roadmaps. You'll spearhead the design, development, documentation, and testing of cutting-edge launcher hardware and software-related products, including hypersonic applications.

Team Management and Operational Excellence

You'll oversee a team of approximately 100 engineers and 5 engineering managers, ensuring operational excellence throughout the process. Your responsibilities will include managing staffing at the center level, balancing demand, supply, affordability, and critical skills, as well as overseeing functional budgets, proposal inputs, and program stakeholder roles. Additionally, you'll drive department-level initiatives, fostering change and innovation.

Basic Qualifications:

- BS in EE, SE, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics or equivalent field.

- Minimum 10+ experience in all lifecycle phases of cross-discipline engineering

- Strong experience in product design, analysis, integration, test, and trade studies

- Knowledge of emerging systems, software, and hardware engineering practices and experience in adopting and implementing key practices.

- Strong risk management experience and expertise, including identification, mitigation and abatement planning, execution, and tracking.

- Solid cost account and earned value management experience.

- Final Secret level clearance.

Desired Skills:

- STEM MS or Ph.D. preferred.

- Knowledge of launcher products across the engineering development lifecycle.

- Demonstrated experience in driving data informed change in support of improving affordability and quality.

- Strong oral and written communications skills.

- Demonstrated interpersonal, team-building skills, strong work ethic and self-motivation.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
