Description The Center for Excellence in Disabilities at West Virginia University Research Corporation is currently accepting applications for an Assistive Technology Assistant. About the Opportunity The purpose of this position is to perform clerical and administrative functions following established policies, procedures, and methods in support of the Principal Investigator, Program Manager, and staff of the West Virginia Assistive Technology System (WVATS) Program. Provides program, as well as direct client support services. Responds to inquiries and independently resolves matters of low to moderate complexity. Responsibilities require some judgement, resourcefulness, and originality, but diverse guides and precedents are usually available to apply or adapt to the circumstances. Work effort has considerable impact on client services, program, and project image, with potential legal liabilities. What you'll do: Clerical Duties: Perform general reception duties, answer telephone, receive and greet visitors to office area, determine nature of the visit and direct visitors/communications to the appropriate staff member. Compose correspondence, letters, proposals, charts, graphs, manuscripts, complex forms and memorandum. Also type travel, procedures, consultant agreements and contract agreements. Create tables, charts, and graphs. Provide meeting support and facilitation including agenda and minute development. Proofread typed materials. Maintain paper and electronic filing - reports, correspondence and various forms. Coordinate and prepare written and electronic materials for mass mailing; maintain mailing lists and email listservs. Assist in the procurement of program equipment and supplies, research companies for best price, complete purchasing paperwork. Receive and submit invoices, bills of sale, receipts, and other accounting documents to a central accounting department. Group Coordination: Schedule appointments, complex committee meetings, staff meetings, manage supervisor's calendar as needed, coordinate all arrangements relating to location, time, and date; create and disseminate the agenda to participants. Organize on-line and in person program-wide regional and statewide seminars, workshops, and training sessions; confirm/verify receipt of information; request for information from those enrolled. Prepare various training and meeting materials for small and large groups of individuals. Coordinate the collection of materials for meetings and conferences. Prepare and submit required documentation to offer continuing education units for trainings, summarize training evaluations. Coordinate group travel arrangements and reservations, utilizing both State and WVU Research Corporation regulations/forms to ensure compliance to internal CED travel policies, as well as, all State, WVU and Federal travel...
