Provides intraoperative care to patients by functioning as the scrub person assisting the surgical team during operative procedures. Serves as a scrub mentor to others performing the scrub role on service cases. Assists RN Service Line Coordinator to standardize instrumentation. Contributes input into the updating of preference cards used within the service line. Assists with the care and monitoring of service equipment and supplies.

If hired prior to 2/1/2024: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse, completion of a Surgical Technology Program, or completion of summer surgical tech extern program. 2. Surgical Technologist certification required within 90 days of hire date. 3. Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date. EXPERIENCE: 1. Four years of Surgical Technology experience in a tertiary setting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE: 1. Three years of advanced knowledge in desired specialty strongly preferred. 2. Advanced knowledge of three specialties strongly preferred.
