Material Handling Systems, Inc. seeks Project Manager in Mt. Washington, KY.Duties: Organize all project related activities and communication that will ensure the successful execution of the project. Be the chief conduit for communication from the customer and to the related parties within the company including any sub-contractors who have been assigned to carry out project activities. Develop the overall execution of the project, including the development of the invoicing schedule to ensure that cash flow is adequately maintained during the project and organizing the production schedule to ensure timely delivery of product to the field to support the installation schedule. Report results and issues to senior management on a regular basis taking every opportunity to avoid or minimize potential issues to the project. Develop new business associated with an assigned account, including identifying opportunities, developing proposed scope of supply, generating proposals, generation cost estimates, coordinating with systems engineering to generate estimates and proposals associated with larger projects. Coordinate with other departments and subcontractors in an effective and productive manner; scheduling and maintaining engineering activities; develop solutions to installation and other mechanical issues, analyzing progress and determine issues in the schedule in a timely manner; and recruit and evaluate talent to grow the department. Travel to the project site on a regular basis to evaluate progress, maintain effective communication with the field staff and to customer’s sites to provide on-site field support and commissioning. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering or related field plus 1 year of experience as a Project Manager, Project Coordinator, or related occupations. Requires at least 12 months of experience in the parcel industry. Requires any amount of experience in the following: Developing, using, and modifying MS Project scheduling software; Developing an assigned team to successfully complete projects related to material handling or software implementation; Communicating with customer and vendors to complete projects successfully; Reporting on the financial status of projects; Evaluating project risks as they arise to mitigate the impact and escalating accordingly; and Utilizing reporting tools to effectively transmit issues, concerns, and overall status to management. Domestic travel 35% of time to unanticipated customer/project sites. Customer visits are typically 1-5 business days long. Telecommuting permitted. 40 hours/week.
