Google Group Product Manager, Generative AI Workflows in Mountain View, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10 years of experience in product management, consulting, co-founder or related technical role.

  • 5 years of experience building and shipping technical products.

  • Experience with the domain area of Generative AI or Large Language Models.

  • Experience driving elements of the product development lifecycle such as product proposal, go-to-market strategy, driving requirements, product launch and driving adoption.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, UX/User Interface, PMO).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with developers who are building generative AI products.

  • Experience building a platform for multiple groups of users with competing requirements.

  • Experience managing day-to-day technical and design direction.

  • Experience product managing internal ML infrastructure, advocating for its use cases, and growing its adoption.

  • Experience taking a product through the full production cycle.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

As the lead for Generative AI workflows, you will be responsible for leading the development of new workflows to help automate the user journey taken by generative AI developers and bringing AI Innovation to production across Google’s products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $214,000-$305,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Understand workflows for both creators and consumers of models, identify opportunities to create tooling that supports generative-AI powered products across Google.

  • Conduct thorough and regular market assessments of new innovations in generative AI tooling, manage emerging technologies and workflows, and learn from best practices in the industry.

  • Work with Google product areas to understand user requirements and internal developer workflows, identify issues to bring AI to production across use cases and workflows at Google, and prioritize feature requests across these diverse specifications and build a unified roadmap for the machine learning infrastructure for Google.

  • Lead collaboration with engineering, legal, UX, and other teams on technologies.
