Google Product Operations Specialist in Mountain View, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8 years of experience in a technical project management or a customer-facing role.

  • 5 years of experience in Human Computation, Machine Learning, or Crowdsourcing data.

  • 3 years of experience in data analysis.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience designing and implementing data-based research experiments.

  • Experience in Python, XML/CSS, HTML/JavaScript.

  • Experience in the app or game ecosystem.

  • Ability to communicate complex findings in a concise manner to a non-technical audience.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

As a Product Operations Specialist, you’ll work cross-functionally to create a high-quality Google Play Store experience through deeper app quality understanding, powered by scaled human evaluation.

Our mission, as the App Quality team, is to proactively identify and correctly label apps and games across the store, enabling engineering teams to deliver delightful experiences to our users across the Android ecosystem.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$196,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Work directly with offshore rater teams leading rater training and education, addressing rater questions, and resolving borderline case disputes.

  • Partner with subject matter experts to generate golden set data, design and implement rater training, data collection questionnaires, and drive rater accuracy and agreement.

  • Collaborate effectively with Product and Engineering stakeholders to improve training, task definitions, tools, and standard operating.

  • Work with Engineers and Data Scientists to implement new methodologies, improve data quality, gather additional data points, and up-level rater education.

  • Design and implement data and rater quality control methodologies geared at delivering process improvements. Additionally conduct analysis and create reports using raw data via sheets and SQL.
