Your day at NTT DATA
The Security Managed Services Engineer (L2) is responsible for providing a managed service to clients to ensure that their Security Infrastructures and systems remain operational. Through the proactive monitoring, identifying, investigating, and resolving of technical incidents and problems, this role is able to restore service to clients. Their primary objective is to proactively review client requests or tickets and apply technical/process knowledge to resolve them without breaching service level agreement (SLA). This role focuses on second-line support for incidents and requests with a medium level of complexity.
This role may also contribute to / support on project work as and when required.
What you'll be doing
Job Requirement:
Five (5) years industry experience in a network operations/support environment; relevant experience in Security domain; Experience Network Security Administrator
Cisco CCNP Security;
Knowledge on ITIL framework, Cisco Network & Security Devices,
Technical ability to understand the issues related to day to day operations
Engineer should have expertise in areas Like troubleshooting and handling of various Network Security devices and technology viz., Firewalls, Load Balancers etc.
Hands-on experience on troubleshooting Firewall & LB devices
Hands-on experience on Firewall Policy / rules and access control configuration
Monitor and Manage Network Security devices and related performance
Understanding of DR Solution and support requirement
Technical ability to provide Support to L1 engineers;
Technical ability to provide basic fault finding and fault escalation; Escalation Management (Internal and with OEM)
Experience with liaising with vendors to validate hardware parameters and functionality then replace if necessary
Good understanding of incident management activities;
Good ability to follow and documented operational processes;
Experience with ticket management and change request management systems;
Experience with network Security monitoring / management tools/ analysis tools and related performance;
Good communications and interpersonal skills.
Qualification: BE/B Tech/MCA/BCA with CCNP Security certification
Desired Experience:
Hands on experience with networking, routing, switching, Cisco ACI is necessary with minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
Network engineer with good networking technology skills; Excellent understanding of cross platform technologies; and should be familiar with Cisco based technologies and products.
(working hours 24x7, shift based)
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
Must be a pleasing personality with effective spoken and written communication in English and well in documentation. Must be good team player.
