Your Role and Responsibilities

As an Netezza Engineer, you would be responsible for:

Working closely with Database Administrator's and BI architects, Infrastructure Architects to implement Netezza solutions.

Actively participate in business requirements gathering sessions and understand client requirements.

Assist PM in planning and driving low level project tasks.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 12+ years of experience in software services.

• 7+ years of experience implementing solution on Netezza.

• Good understanding of data modelling and ability of writing SQL queries

• Very good Understanding of Netezza tools

• Very good Understanding of Netezza Metadata tables

• Expert with SQL Tuning and understanding JOIN Processing

• Export with writing Procedures.

• Export of planning data distribution.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

• Must have deep understanding of methods to tune SQL queries performance.

• Must have deep understanding of Workload scheduling for Netezza.

• Must have good understanding regarding data ingestion flows.

• Must have clarity of Data Warehouse Concept and data model patterns like snowflake, star schema, OLTP.

• Should be able to work on backup and recovery of database.

• Manage higher availability of the database on Netezza.

• Schedule Maintenance windows for optimal platform usage.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Good to have Knowledge: Strong DBA exposure, Data Modelling, and good exposure of Operating system.
