We are currently seeking a “ Procurement Executive” to join our team in Mumbai.

Position Purpose: This position is responsible for driving Imports procurement processes to ensure timely availability of product to meet the customer demand & organization plan of revenue, freight, and inventory. The position will be responsible to efficiently manage the on-time delivery leading indicators such as Supplier On-time delivery, On-time arrival, by working in close partnership with various partners such as Supplier, Freight Forwarder, Customs agents, Sales, Customer Service & Warehouse. The position will also provide real time visibility and analytical support to aide quick decision making to achieve the goal of customer satisfaction & business profitability.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Execute import procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods.

• Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and maintain strong relationships to ensure continuity of the supply chain.

• Stay updated with import regulations, tariffs, duties, and trade agreements to ensure compliance and minimize risks.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Supplier, Freight forwarder, Customs agents, logistics, Customer service and finance to optimize procurement processes and meet business objectives.

• Manage import documentation, including customs clearance, shipping documents, and permits, to facilitate smooth import operations.

• Maintain record of all key communications including but not limited to customs to help future audit queries.

• Maintain updated copies of Rate contract / pricing agreement with Supplier, Freight forwarders, Customs agents for ready reference from time to time.

• Help maintain & analyse procurement data, track key performance indicators, and prepare reports to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.

• Stay abreast of industry best practices, technological advancements, and innovations in import procurement.

• Timely ordering of material requirements as per demand / forecast to meet revenue & On-time delivery targets.

• Facilitate Daily Management activities related to Imports procurement.

• Address supply chain issues by communicating, escalating, and coordinating with various stakeholders for resolution.

• Submit regular & periodic update to the supply chain leadership team.

• Work with multiple vendors to determine the best deals for the company and evaluate pros and cons of each, based on price, quality, speed of delivery and other factors.

• Should be able to gather information to aid quick decision making.

• Demonstrate Basic math skills to analyse prices and get the best deals possible.

• Use good Negotiation skills to work with suppliers to create the best deals.

Knowledge, Skills

• Education – Bachelor’s degree/ Management diploma / degree in Supply chain / Operations / Logistics is an added advantage.

• Work experience - Minimum of 3-5 years of supply chain / logistics in an Indian or a multi-national company.

• Excellent competency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Must have good communication skills & proficiency in English, Hindi

• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

• Certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus.
