Ford Motor Company Body Integration Engineer in Nanjing, China

  • On time on quality delivery for all milestones/gateways – UNVx/UPVx/DCV/PEC/FEC etc.

  • Meet all cost, weight and quality target during the process.

  • Ensure robust resolution of cross functional issues and coordinates with FSIM/VEM on cross vehicle issues

  • Co-Lead with DTO to ensure gives-gets of feasibility / theme progression through K-loop process.

  • Support smooth hand-off to PD Launch Manager post FEC.

  • Great collaboration with D&R team, program team and other related cross function team during the process

  • Represent Body Interior in Program forums such as Round table, PST, AST, CPE DF, Cost PAT, AAF, Launch Meetings, AIMS reviews, BPR, EMM etc. to report out and other management reviews

  • Project management of Body Interior GPDS deliverables as outlined in Integrator/BPR.

  • Work closely with Body Interior team in support of milestone delivery.

  • Implementing a “data driven” approach to program management and use this data to pro-actively put actions in place to avoid issue & to ensure deliver on time (e.g. resource, prioritization, help required).

  • Develop strong working relationships with cross functional and regional (e.g. Program Management, Function team, Studio, Launch Teams, VOME, Purchasing, STA, DI etc.).

  • Lead resolution of key issues (process or design) as required in support of program delivery on time.

  • Bachelor of Engineering

  • 3 Years PMT or D&R experience (ideally one “complete” cycle of program delivery)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Able to demonstrate ability to lead / direct team activities.

  • Experience in effective decision-making process (including business impact)

  • Exposure to commercial business aspects of engineering.

  • Experience in leading project teams through the Automotive Design disciplines - preferred (GPDS)

  • Demonstrate ability to implement an analytical approach to project management.

  • Additional automotive experience beneficial.
