Description

Our client is looking for an Interim Controller in Nashville, Tennessee, in a fast-paced and growing company. This role is critical in overseeing the accounting office, rectifying broken processes, and enhancing efficient ones. The successful candidate will handle day-to-day accounting tasks, demonstrate strong technical accounting and treasury skills, and adapt quickly to shifting priorities. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity and is onsite near the Nashville airport area.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the entire accounting function in a fast-paced environment

• Identify and rectify broken accounting processes while building upon existing efficient processes

• Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Demonstrate strong technical accounting skills in all tasks and projects

• Utilize treasury skills, when necessary, to manage company’s finances

• Adapt quickly to shifting priorities in a growing company

• Correct any inaccuracies in the financials and ensure timely closing of books

• Utilize ERP Solutions to streamline accounting functions and improve efficiency

• Prepare, analyze, and review financial statements regularly

• Prepare for annual external audit and ensure audit compliance

• Manage accounts payable and receivable, and perform bank account reconciliations.

Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in ERP solutions

• Proficiency in executing accounting functions

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with audit preparation

• Ability to handle budget processes effectively

• Proven skills in analyzing financial statements

• Experience in preparing, reviewing, and presenting financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis

• Expertise in balance sheet reconciliation and bank account reconciliation

• Familiarity with managing general ledger activities
