Actalent Controls Engineer in Nashville, Tennessee

Controls Engineer - Nashville, TN - Onsite

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a mid-level Controls/Automation Engineer to join a prominent team in the Chemical/Industrial Process Controls and Entertainment Industry. This role will require you to engage in control systems design and PLC/HMI Programming within an office environment while also being capable of travelling domestically or internationally for field commissioning, amounting to about 30% of your time. Your time away from the office will primarily involve Field Testing and Commissioning of Equipment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience within Controls/Automation

  • Bachelor of Science in related Engineering Field

  • Siemens

  • Control Systems & Panel Design - includes: motor controls, PLCs, HMIs, and networking

  • Control System Documentation - includes: schematic development, theory of operations development, FAT & SAT test development

  • Hands-On Controls Commissioning

Work Environment

You will be joining a lean team of engineers where individual initiative is highly valued. The ideal candidate would be someone who can independently seek out solutions, referring to manuals or conducting research before asking for help. A natural curiosity about how things work and a history of tinkering or taking things apart as a hobby will be considered a plus in this role.
