Position Summary

Bridgestone Americas (BSAM) Corporate Development team is responsible for the evaluation and execution of M&A and strategic initiatives across BSAM’s business units.

The group partners with the company's executive management and business unit leaders to:

(i) identify growth opportunities;

(ii) source and evaluate strategic initiatives that will capitalize upon these opportunities and drive shareholder value and

(iii) manage the transaction execution and integration processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support deal leads in inorganic growth opportunities– from idea to business case to deal execution and post-deal integration – taking a holistic, cross-functional approach across acquisitions, investments, divestitures, and strategic projects & partnerships.

  • Assist in all aspects of the deal, including sourcing, qualification, initial rationale/pitch, financial modeling, due diligence and closing & integration activities.

  • Perform complex financial modeling and valuation supporting transaction evaluation and execution.

  • Conduct detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis supporting business case development.

  • Develop presentations for business unit leaders, executive management and board of directors.

  • Monitor and research market participants and trends in the tire and automotive and related sectors.

  • Collaborate on projects and cross-functional teams and business unit colleagues.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 working years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years of experience; or equivalent work experience.

  • 2-4 years of work experience at a leading investment bank, private equity firm and/or in corporate development.

  • Previous experience working in financial analysis and valuation, including understanding of M&A analysis and related issues.

  • Previous experience presenting to leadership.

  • Advanced understanding of PowerPoint and Excel.

Nice to Have:

  • Previous experience in consulting, transaction advisory services, and strategic corporate roles.
