Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Job Description
The Pharmacy Technician assists with drug preparation and dispensing under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist in accordance with state pharmacy regulations. Responsibilities include filling prescription items as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy, packaging medications for dispensing and delivery, and ensuring labeling accuracy. The role also involves participating in periodic inventory checks, stocking shelves, removing out-of-date items, preparing medications including emulsions, liquids, powders, and ointments, which may involve non-sterile compounding. Additional duties include processing returned medications for credit or destruction, assisting in training new employees, and servicing facility-based medication dispensing machines.

This is a fully on-site position in Nashville, Tennessee.
Work Environment
This is a non-retail pharmacy environment, akin to a production/fulfillment/warehouse setting. Shifts available are 2:30pm-11pm, Monday through Friday.
