We are wholly owned by Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC), founded on the proven success of Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s own specialty pharmacy. Our Pharmacy Business Service draws on years of experience to help our Health System partners to build their own specialty programs. Our Specialty Pharmacy (VHPG) serves patients with complex therapy needs, through relationships with a range of industry partners. Our dynamic and ever-growing pharmacy team is currently seeking a data savvy and entrepreneurial minded individual with a Pharmacy/Healthcare data analytics and IT background.

Role:
Reporting to Business and Operations Leadership, this position will be responsible for the development and maintenance of internal and external reporting and analytics needs. This individual will facilitate cross functional coordination, the development of tools for data extraction, report creation and the deployment of both internal and external reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains all pharmacy and business reporting needs, including external pharmacy industry specific reports, business metrics, dashboards, patient outcomes, etc.
Provides day to day coordination and cross functional communication for ongoing projects
Responsible for creation and deployment of both internal and external reporting
Assists the business to develop reporting requirements for third- party contracts
Collaborates with VUMC Analytics, IT, and Finance departments to support ongoing department process/system improvements
Effectively communicates insights and findings to cross functional team members
Assists in the development of client presentations and deliverables
Will be a SME and have advanced knowledge of data, modeling, optimization and tools
Assists the business to document business and pharmacy technology roadmap needs
Technical Skills:
Demonstrated experience writing queries, building reports, creating databases, advanced analytics, and reporting tools (e.g. SQL, Tableau, Oracle, SQL Server experience)
Experience developing data structures, working with multiple data feeds, integration requirements
Experience with pharmacy dispensing systems, EHRs and other (EnterpriseRx, EPIC, Cerner, CMM, QS/1, or Epic Willow Ambulatory)
Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently on complex projects as well as work collaboratively with other stakeholders, both inside and outside the organization
Proactive, self-starter that is interested to learn new technologies and analytic processes
Demonstrated experience combing analytical tools and problem-solving skills to drive positive business outcomes
Experience with healthcare compliance reporting, and financial analysis
Qualifications:
Undergraduate Degree in Data Analytics or Computer Science
5-10 years of data analytics experience (pharmacy and business reporting)
Understanding of PBM and Payor reporting, service performance reporting, adherence metrics (MPR and PDC)

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) and 3 years relevant experience
Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration (LCR):
- Licensed Pharmacist Required
Additional Qualification Information:
- Per Pharmacy Department policy, all new hires are subject to pre-employment drug screening (post offer), as well as for cause and random drug screening during their tenure with Vanderbilt.
