BluePearl Veterinary Technician - Internal Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Veterinary Technician to join their fast-paced Internal Medicine department.

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through CareerTrax leveling system .

* Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation commensurate with experience*

We're seeking a passionate and skilled veterinary technician to work in our internal medicine department, providing comprehensive care for our patients with complex medical conditions. As an IM Veterinary Technician, you will...

  • Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).

  • Calculates all medical math including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc.).

  • Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia

  • Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures.

  • Set up and assist with endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway). Clean and maintain equipment following procedure.

  • Discharge IM patients from the hospital, including basic client education such as insulin injection, SQ fluid, and feeding tube demonstrations.

  • Additional job duties as assigned.
