United States Fleet Forces Command TRAINING INSTRUCTOR (NUCLEAR) in Naval Shipyard, Virginia

Summary You will serve as a TRAINING INSTRUCTOR (NUCLEAR) in the Production Resources Department (Code 900), Production Workforce Development and Resource Manager (900B), Consolidated Training Division (900T), Nuclear Training Branch (Code 900T.4) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will develop, revise, and adapt assigned nuclear courses. You will prepare nuclear course lesson plans and training materials based on course objectives. You will recommend adjustments or modifications to training in accordance with the evaluation. You will maintain training records and develop training reports. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience preparing lesson plans and/or training materials based on course objectives; Experience with nuclear, refueling, defueling and radiological control concepts; Experience in nuclear subject matter taught to provide practical application of radiological requirements; Experience assessing student progress to ensure learning objectives are met and/or providing guidance to improve student performance; Experience preparing lesson plans and training material based on course objectives using software programs (e.g. Microsoft word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat (Professional)); Experience systematically integrating work requirements into training to provide a conceptual knowledge of skills; Experience utilizing a wide range of training methods, techniques and/or tools to develop, present and maintain courses objectives; Successful completion of Nuclear Quality Control and Radiological Instructor is strongly encouraged.
