This is a job for a Director of Mill Readiness - Strategic Projects position with a company located in New Augusta, MS.

Your Job: Georgia-Pacific is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Director of Mill Readiness for Strategic Projects within our Cellulose division.

Duties: Manage the mill readiness efforts for the strategic projects in the Containerboard and Cellulose mill system. This includes all components of mill readiness: learning, documentation, check-out, commissioning, preliminary process operating envelopes, and maintenance strategies. This position will interface with the Koch and GP capabilities supporting capital, reliability, and asset-centered operation to ensure alignment with our standards where profitable, and to influence and bring new ideas to those teams.

Specifically: Development and  organization of the resources who will complete mill readiness activities. Learning and development  activities. Definition of systems  for startup. Management of  construction resources form check out through hand off to mill resources. Documentation of  individual systems including functional descriptions, training documents  and spare parts. Advise GP capabilities  and other mega projects in mill readiness best practices. Manage mill readiness  Leaders in other large GP projects.

Important traits for success: Organization, Collaborative skills including teaching, Contribution mindset, Adaptability within a principle-based organization, experience with large capital projects, experience with the specific equipment and processes inherent in large pulp and paper mills.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications): Ten plus years in asset intensive manufacturing environment. Management of facility readiness, start up and commissioning of large capital projects. Travel up to 80% is needed.

Perferred Qualifications: Technical degree preferred.
