Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Assistant Program Manager (CHAT Clinic Supervisor) for The Center for Psychological Services (CPS) at the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP).Among the key duties of the position are the following:
  • Works under with Dr. Kelly Moore, CPS Director to run the grant-funded practicum site for selected GSAPP doctoral students.
  • Provides individual and group supervision to GSAPP students rotating through the clinic practicum each year.
  • Provides weekly didactic training on topics relevant to child traumatic stress, trauma treatments, and other relevant topics.
  • Meets monthly with the CPS Director and the assigned SAMHSA grant officer to review and update on progress towards the goals of the clinic as set forth in the grant application and complete grant reports on an annual basis as required by the funder, with assistance from the CPS Director.
  • Maintains the longstanding relationship between the CHAT clinic and the local office of Child Protection and Permanency.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
  • PhD or PsyD in Psychology.
  • One (1) year of clinical experience.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Specific experience in the treatment and supervision of therapy clients, particularly youth clients, impacted by trauma.
  • Specific advanced knowledge would be training in the delivery and supervision of evidence-based treatments for trauma in children and families.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Licensed or license-eligible in New Jersey.
  • Familiar with at least one of the evidenced -based treatment models used in the practicum including: Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Game-Based CBY, and the Attachment, Regulation, and Competency (ARC) model.
  • Prior experience providing training and supervision to graduate students.
  • Experience with managing grant-funded program and familiarity with DCP&P.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Work will primarily take place on site, but will include occasional meetings at the local DCPP offices, community partners, and/or SAMHSA All-Network Conferences that take place every other year.
