North Park Plaza is part of Volunteers of America National Services which serves as the Housing and Healthcare affiliate of the Volunteers of America parent organization. The Home Health Aide role is to ensure that our residents receive daily nursing care and activities of daily living. Pay: $21.00 per hour Schedules available: (1) 9am-5pm EVERY Sunday, then every OTHER Wednesday & Saturday, total 32 hour per pay period (2) 11a-7pm every OTHER Friday, total 8 hours per pay period Home Health Aide (HHA) Job Highlights: * Career scholarships; * Quality training, continuing career education and leadership programs; Required Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Ability to read, write, carry out directions, and work independently. * Demonstrate dependability, tact, and ability to follow instructions. * Customer service oriented. * Possesses coordination and dexterity required to provide resident care skillfully. * Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing and documentation. Preferred Skills: * Experience in the long-term care setting preferred. * High school graduate or equivalent. * Reliable mode of transportation. Essentials: * Assist residents with activities of daily living. * Administer and/or assist with medication or treatments. * Document care or observations appropriately. * Assist with housekeeping tasks. * Able to serve meals to residents. * Immediately reports any suspected abuse or neglect per facility policy. * Accurately utilizes electronic systems of documentation as required per facility policy.
